I can see where both types of training have some overlap. Especially with assistance moves.I know that as I took almost two years off from straight MMA type of training to gain more mass and strength that the first year I mainly did low rep high weight training and little to no hypertrophic type training that I stagnated and hit a plateau about halfway through. After watching strongman competitions and doing a bit of reading about their training, I realized that for me to continually make gains in functional strength I'd have to incorporate some of both concepts and vary my training as well.These guys are super powerful and in petty good condition.I found their type of training and their physiques to be a happy medium for me when I'm focused on strength and when I started to do my normal conditioning I found that using more than one type of technique can help me keep me making steady but smaller gains along with my usual training. Hmmm....I'm not sure I agree with some of the ideas, though I get the logic. The problem I see, is that any kind of muscular "endurance" training "crowds out" muscular strength training. Said another way, humans seem to default to "endurance" when trained for both power and endurance. In fact, *any* kind of training moves the fiber types toward more "endurance". Diet, yes. BB's are masters of achieving LBM. But wouldn't "variety" of partials and speed work be better than "constant tension" (which is ST work by the way) or angles that PLs don't work in? Mark,<br />I appreciate the tenacity with which you put forth your point of view. Especially the state of things and the seeming recklessness of society in general. My assumption, which I got through much investigation, was that these fungal sites were only outward manifestations of a overburdened inward condition of too much fungus. It got rid of my problem after using it for 7 days. I do believe that with a profound nutritional protocol, I could have gotten rid of it. So I believe that in my case it was shock therapy. I know you understand shock therapy so I guess you can understand this shock therapy. I have been able to control my external fungus problems by using an intermittent therapy of MMS. So until I have the courage of following my ideal nutritional protocol, I will use this as intermittent therapy. Is it chemotherapy? Yes I believe it is. Has it killed anyone?
